As we sit and wait

A friend recently related this experience to having a baby.... everyone has been waiting for "the call". I am thinking about this has our support system is coming in droves from all over the state to be here for David and us. As a matter of fact I just got a call from Lora saying "I'm Here"... she beat everyone and Monica, Mom, and Jacque aren't far behind. Doug is reading to Dave out of the "Organ Transplant" book and Dave is just sitting here listening, not letting anyone into those private thoughts. Wait until his grandma and Jacque get here and double team him with therapy psycho babble, just kidding guys:)

I on the other hand have been in constant prayer and in constant thoughts for the donor family. Yesterday morning this family had no idea that they would be facing this tragedy, but I rest in the fact that our Lord had this planned from the beginning. My prayer is that the family that is giving us the gift are also believers so that they can also rest in the Lord during this trying time. I can't stop thinking about them and their grief right now, because honestly I felt their grief for the past 60 days. Dear Lord, please wrap your arms around this family right now, comfort them, hold them tight, love them, let them know you are there for them. We love them precious Lord, and we lift them up to you in this time of need. In your precious precious name. Amen.

David's surgery is now scheduled for noon, it could be pushed back, but for now that is when it is. We will keep you all posted.... Much love......

  1. Our family has been and will continue to pray!! Our God is so faithful and His timing perfect! I know prayers around the nation are being offered as a sweet fragrance before God's throne and He is pleased! May He fill your waiting room with His tangible presence as He reigns down His peace, love, joy, and hope on you.
Waiting on and praising our God of all hope!

  2. David,
You have endured and shown patience and faith and now your reward is here. Your donor would be very proud in knowing that a wonderful young man has been given the gift of a new and improved life. Its hard to understand this because of the tragedy, but trust me, even though the family is mourning for their loss, it does make sense to them that someone in need is a receipient of their loved ones gifts. I donated my beloved Adam and I was at peace and knew that was the right thing to do and Adam would have agreed. I say a prayer with all my heart that you have an absolutely successful surgery and its time to get 100% healed and back on track. You need to get out of the hospital and go home and enjoy your life. There will be a time for recovery and regaining your stenghth, then a time for having fun again. It will be without a doubt all yours again in a short amount of time.
    With much love to you,
Your cousins, Liz, Lianna, Paul and Adam(in memory)

  5. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! We will continue to pray - just as so MANY others are doing. It is such a joy to see the Body of Christ lifting up one another to our Heavenly Father. David, you are in God's hands - the safest place to be. We pray you feel His peace and comfort and love. We will be praying for you and the family and all the medical staff. God bless you!

  7. Its crazy to think that this all happened. As soon as the murren family told me, I was in utter shock! Everday David was in my prayers, and through many aspects of my life and im sure you have seen lately, prayer is such a powerful gift that God has given us. Gods power is endless and I am so happy that He was able to bless David with this heart. I'll keep praying as he's in surgery :)

  8. David and family,
We love you and we are praying! We received the news as we were getting off the plane in North Carolina. We are also in a waiting period and God's answer to the prayers for this heart are encouragement for us to continue with patience in our wait. God's unfailing love never ends!

  9. The Lord's Prayer,

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
    hallowed be they name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses, as well forgive those who trespass against up.
And lead us not into tempation,
    But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen!

Father God, we love you so much!
    You are awesome and wondrous.
You love us more than we can even understand.
Be with this family and especially with David.
Father guide the hands of the doctors.
Provide them with wisdom and ease as they go about the task of giving David a new heart.
Father, thank-you for David's new heart.
    Let it be strong!
    Lord, take care of David.
You are awesome and we are humbled by you.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen!

  10. David,

My name is David and I became aware of your journey through WMOWNERS. I've been praying for you and for the Lord to direct your paths and the hands of the surgeons, but most of all the blessing of the Lord on your life - you will be a witness to many for Jesus Christ!
